| Dr. Juliana Khowong is excited to join the PM&R Center. She received her undergraduate degree with honors from Bryn Mawr College and her medical degree at the State University of New York at Downstate. Dr. Khowong became attracted to physiatry because she finds it rewarding to help individuals recover from a variety of conditions and to assist in improving quality of life throughout all ages. Dr. Khowong completed her residency training in rehabilitation medicine at New York-Presbyterian hospital where she had the honor of serving as chief resident in her last year. During her training she was also awarded the Cornell Alumni Council Distinguished Housestaff award. She has presented at national conferences and received a scholarship to attend the Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Pain Society. Understanding the complexity of issues in injury, debility and recovery, she believes in a team approach to provide the best comprehensive care for her patients. A native New Yorker, she enjoys the cultural offerings of the city and likes to frequent museums, theatres and new restaurants.
