Dr. Lisa Wisotsky has a strong interest in geriatric rehabilitation, working with patients with a wide array of illnesses such as peripheral vascular disease, amputations, diabetes, osteoporosis and cardiac and respiratory illnesses. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from Yale University, Dr. Wisotsky attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine for both her MD degree and her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Wisotsky began her career as the attending physician on the Geriatrics unit at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, where she had inpatient and outpatient responsibilities and was involved in resident teaching. She has been with the PM&R Center since 1995, and has been the consulting physiatrist at several facilities in the Bergen County area, working with geriatric patients on subacute rehabilitation as well as long-term care units. Dr. Wisotsky works closely with patients and their families as well as with internists and the rehabilitation team to ensure that her patients reach their maximum functional potential and achieve their highest level of independence.
