An academic society for
rehabilitation professionals
In May of 2003, Drs. Howard Liss, Donald Liss, Jeff Pavell and
Daniel Mendez established a new professional society to support
and enhance the education of physicians and therapists treating
patients with rehabilitative issues. The purpose of the Society
is to provide physiatrists, orthopaedists, rheumatologists, neurologists,
physical and occupational therapists, and other rehabilitation professionals
in Northern New Jersey and the metro- New York area an educational
forum to address current topics related to the practice of rehabilitation
medicine.
The Society continues to bring speakers
at the forefront of their fields to Bergen County, New Jersey for
academic lectures and discussion focusing on the full range of rehabilitation
topics and developments. Meetings include dinner, speaker, discussion
and networking opportunities. In addition, we are anticipating the
ability to provide CME credits for many of our educational forums,
and will inform the membership of events which qualify.
The physicians of the PMR Center are truly excited about this endeavor.
Clinicians may contact Dr. Howard Liss or Dr. Jeff Pavell at (201)
567-2277 to inquire about membership or one-time attendance fees
subject to availability.
